The branch meeting scheduled for the 25th November 2020, was moved to Wednesday the 2nd December 2020. Below are the summary minutes of the branch meeting. Losing your job through redundancy is a shock both emotionally and financially. The aim of this 'Guide To Claiming Benefits and Credits following Redundancy' is to give you the information you need to make sure you are able to access the benefits system and claim what you are entitled to GMB Northants Community Branch holds monthly meetings, which are open to all branch members, on the last Wednesday of the month (except August and December). During 2020 we moved to video meetings on Zoom, but hope to move back to face to face meetings, which will be held at the Ex-Servicemen's Club, Lloyds Road, Corby NN17 1AP
Our Regional GMB Officer has written to all Northamptonshire School Support Staff, who are GMB members, to update members on where the TUPE Consultation Process for the move over to Unitary in April 2021 is currently sitting as Northamptonshire County Council have now served the Tupe letter to the Trade Unions and will very shortly issue it to affected staff. UNHCR is on the ground providing life-saving support, shelter and protection. But they can not do it without our support.

Please SIGN and SHARE HERE Commenting on today’s (Monday) Living Wage Foundation figures which show that there are 423,000 workers in the East Midlands earning under the real Living Wage.
TUC Midlands Regional Secretary Lee Barron said: “People who work for a living ought to earn a decent living. It’s not right that so many people here in the East Midlands don’t earn enough to cover basic living costs like food for their families or money for rent and bills. “And many of those struggling to get by will be the key workers getting us through this crisis – such as carers, supermarket staff and delivery drivers. “The prime minister promised to ‘level up’ Britain. Ministers must start by working with unions to ‘level up’ pay and conditions across the country, including here in the East Midlands.” Nationally, the Foundation revealed that there are over 5.5 million workers living below the real Living Wage. |
